Welcome to DMIPSR
Nursing is one of the health professions which functions in conjunction with other health care agencies in assisting individuals, families & communities to achieve & maintain desirable standards & maintain desirable standards of health. We recognize that the nature of nursing is such that a substantial portion of the students learning is acquired in the clinical area. We have to expose the students for vast clinical experience & develop their skills in managing all kinds of situations in the community. Theory knowledge must be correlated with the practicals. We recognize it as the foundation for comprehensive nursing practice and on which further education depends. It is our concept that education should bring all sound development of the individual. We recognize the influence of Science & Technology in Nursing profession. We have to help the students to keep abreast with current knowledge & professional trends for a successful career ahead.
Nursing contributes to the health services in vital & significant way in health care delivery system. It recognizes national health goals and is committed to participate in the implementation of National Health Policies & Programmes. It aims to identifying health needs of the people, planning & providing quality care in collaboration with other health professionals & community groups. Scope of nursing practice encompasses provision aspects of care to people across their life span in wide variety of health care settings. We realize that nursing is interdependent for the students to develop co-operation with the health team members and to provide health care to the community. Since Nursing is Art & Science, it is essential to build a sound foundation in the behavioral, life & nursing science for the general practice of Nursing.

Our Courses
DGNM
- Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
For foreign nationals
2. The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
3. Admission of students shall be once in a year.
4. Students shall be medically fit.
5. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (As on 31st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35 yrs. For ANM/ for LHV, there is no age bar.
B.Sc Nursing (4Yrs)
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Minimum education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
- Student shall be admitted once in a year.
M.Sc Nursing (2Yrs)
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Classroom
FUNDAMENTAL OF NURSING /MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING
MCH
MCH Lab is fully equipped with all the maternity and pediatrics equipments, instruments, embryology models, delivery kits, two maternity manikin’s and three paediatric manikin, pelvis, skull, one delivery table and three paediatric cots, play materials models etc.
COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING LAB
Community Health Nursing Lab have fully equipped with adequate furniture, community bags, puppet, surgical items, family folder racks, AV Aids and models etc.
NUTRITION LAB
This Lab is equipped with cupboards and racks to store the cooking and serving utensils, facilities like hand washing, gas stoves, refrigerator, mixier, grinder, work tables, display tables and other furnitures are available.
BIO CHEMISTRY & MICROBIOLOGY
This Lab is equipped with all the chemicals, culture medium, microscopes, specimens and also has adequate cupboards, racks used for simple diagnostic measures.
ANATOMY LAB
It is equipped with real and model bones, skeleton, printed charts related to subjects, models, specimens and also adequate cupboards, racks and display tables.
COMPUTER LAB
Computer Lab has adequate numbers (50) of computer for the students. We have 24 hrs of internet facilities also available, the students are only allowed to use for educational purpose.
AUDIO VISUAL AIDS LAB
We have separate Audio Visual Aids room in which all the aids kept and maintained. We have all the modern audio-visual aids like-Overhead Projector, LCD, Television, TV, VCD/DVD player, Slide Projector, etc.
Library
We have around 7000 medical, nursing, and general books, and also adequate furniture to enable 100 students to occupy at a time, and we have separate staff reading room. The Library is well ventilated and ism highly spacious. A separate journal section of national and international issues, along with new arrivals and reference books, the Library catalogue system also followed and maintained. For the purpose of students, xerox machine, computers with net facilites etc., are available.
Staff Room
We have seperate offices for Principal, Vice Principal, and Administrative staffs and also separate department for each speciality with adequate furnitures and cupboards.
TRANSPORT
We have own big bus, van, and jeep for transport purposes.
PLAYGROUND
We have adequate ground facilities for the students for conducting indoor and outdoor games.
